I know that treating an unfamiliar or complex condition can raise questions you don’t have all the answers to. Sometimes, you just need reassurance that your assessment is correct and your proposed treatment plan is the right one for your patient.
My hand therapy mentoring is here to give you that support and reassurance.
With more than 30 years’ experience as a hand therapist, I’ve treated a broad range of complex cases in my private practice in Sydney, as well as in the USA and Canada. I’ve lectured to hand therapy students and I’ve presented papers at hand therapy conferences. I’ve provided support and mentoring to therapists in Australia and overseas, guiding them through challenging cases so they can assess and treat their patients with confidence.
Easy access to a highly credentialed and experienced Accredited Hand Therapist is just a video call away.
What does a hand therapy mentoring session look like?
In your session, I can provide one on one support, with or without your patient in attendance. We’ll go through the subjective and objective examination to develop a list of differential diagnoses and use clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice to formulate an appropriate treatment plan. Individual sessions also provide an opportunity for more advanced therapists to "brainstorm" complex cases with a peer.
Session features:
Consultation via video or phone
One-on-one mentoring, with or without your patient in attendance
Clinical support
Evidence-based practice
“If you’re looking for a dynamic, expert hand therapy mentor I highly recommend Vanessa Zweck's Virtual Hand Therapy mentoring service. As a highly qualified CHT and Accredited Hand Therapist who has teaching and international clinical experience, Vanessa is my number one choice as a mentor. Through telehealth, Vanessa has been invaluable in assisting me with the successful management of clients who have complex and unusual upper limb conditions.
As a result, my clinical assessment and treatment skills have expanded. Her collaborative, non-judgmental mentoring style builds trust and confidence for both myself and my clients. I highly recommend Vanessa’s hand therapy mentoring service for any therapist who wants to advance their skills.”
