Appointment information

My virtual hand therapy consultations use a simple and secure telehealth programme. After you book your consultation, you’ll receive an automated response email. This email confirms the date and time when we’ll chat and contains the link to your private virtual therapy room.

When it’s time for our consultation, simply click the link in the confirmation email. This will take you through to our virtual therapy room and we’ll get underway. It’s just like an in-person appointment, with the benefit of chatting from home.

What happens during the consultation?

The purpose of our chat is for me to thoroughly assess your hand or wrist injury.

To do this, I’ll ask extensive questions and ask you to do a range of movements. With more than 30 years of experience, I’m skilled in asking the right questions, listening to you, and observing your movement and pain.

Referrals

There are some scenarios where you’ll need a referral to see me.

You can find out more about how referrals work here, as well as download a copy of my referral form.

Preparing for our consultation

If you have scans or test results relating to your injury, it’s great to have these nearby during the consultation.

On the day, choose a well-lit space in your home where you can comfortably see your computer without needing your hands to hold it. Having it on your lap can make it difficult to complete assessment exercises.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please email me.

You must give at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation for your consultation fee to be transferred to a new time.

My full cancellation policy can be found here.
