Fees
For virtual hand therapy consultations, my consultations are 30 minutes. For patients with a known, ongoing condition, I also offer packages of up to 6 consultations. You can find full pricing and quick, easy access to online bookings here.
Rebates
In many scenarios, a rebate on your hand therapy consultation fee may be available from your private health insurer if your policy includes coverage for Occupational Therapy. In some circumstances, patients who have a chronic condition such as arthritis may be able to claim a partial rebate through Medicare. This requires a GP Management Plan. If you think this may apply to you, please talk to your GP before booking your consultation.
Referrals
While I’m able to see many patients without a referral, there are circumstances where one is required. In some scenarios, pre-approval may also be required. For example, if you have an injury from a motor vehicle or workplace accident, your case manager will need to give you pre-approval before I can provide you with treatment. For veterans receiving DVA benefits, a referral from your GP is required. The table below makes it easy to understand when you need to get a referral or pre-approval before seeing me.
